Summer Series

From having some of the best high street stores in one place, the likes of Fenwick, River Island and Timberland, to an array of excellent restaurants like Fuego and TGI-Friday, Lexicon Bracknell is definitely a city centre worth visiting.

Last month i had the pleasure of attending The Lexicon Bracknell Summer Capsule Wardrobe presented by Style blogger, Jessica Eades (website: StylingbyJessica_)

We had a tasteful breakfast at Brown Bag cafe. I connected with some lovely bloggers and also learnt a few tricks from Jessica which was really helpful in packing for my recent summer holiday (blog post coming soon). Lexicon Bracknell gifted me a £50 card, which was the perfect excuse i needed to walk through some of the beautiful stores, and treat myself to a few summer must-haves that i am super excited to share with you. P.S - The looks below are probably not the most ideal of a capsule collection. This is because a capsule wardrobe usually edge towards neutral tones for the sake of versatility, however i love colourful outfit and my first rule of fashion is stay true to yourself, hence my choices.. *winkwink*

First look is this set from Primark. The trousers came in at only £8. Fashionista everywhere are trading their skinny trousers for slouchy summer pants. They are super comfy and perfect to dress up or down, as well as day to night dressing. I paired my trouser with this slogan t-shirt which came in at only £5. You can never go wrong with a white t-shirt, they are a must-have classic.  This season we are not only wearing tees, we are also letting them do the talking, with bold outspoken slogans. You can pair this with denim shorts/skirt for another summer take, or just throw a blazer on it in the coming season.

I was lucky to snap up this standout cami top on sale from River island for only £10. I love the embroidery detail and hey did i mention it is on sales?! lol. With the heatwave in full swing, this is my definition of practical-meets-stylish fix. I love how this simple piece have been turned up a notch with the infusion of current embroidery trend. A cami top is another classic piece you will keep coming back to way past summer. Just throw a rollneck leotard under it in autumn and a blazer over it in winter. Practicality i say! Did you notice my raffia bag and tassel earring? These two accessories have picked up the steam, definite must-haves for your summer collection.

My fave is this super duper stripe culottes jumpsuit from Newlook which came in at only £24.99. Vertical stripes are everywhere this season and yes, yes, i approve. This will get your vote too if your goal is to look slimmer and taller, as vertical stripes tend to elongate and narrow your figure. I went for this  multicolour one because i love bold colours (and apparently multicolour stripes are in vogue). For a fresh take in the coming season, rock a plain edgy shirt under it or throw over an oversize jumper as the weather gets colder.

Life is better in bikini they say, so you would see why i went on and bought this really cute set from River island. The bottom came in at £4 and the top was £7 (both on sale). This took me a little over my £50 budget, but hey, i wasn't even sorry when sat on the seaside, sipping my Pina Colada, looking gorgeous in ultra-violet *lol* I really hope you like each item.I picked them all in store at The Lexicon Bracknell. If you live close by, make sure to visit, you won't be disappointed. I have also included links below to shop items online, as stock may vary in store. Thanks for reading, do leave a comment, let me know which summer trend you are loving. Catch you on my next post. Love always.. AmberMystery..xx
